im comfortable on pretty much any jump i can do up to 7s easy but i cant spin switch, normally i spin left, but i cant ski switch very well at all looking over my left shoulder, and i can ski and carve looking over my right easily. so should i just try spinning right when i take off switch? and any tips on technique and stuff would help too.

just practice and you could ride up to the jump switch looking over your right shoulder then twist your head to the left while your on the jump and carve hard on the lip helps a lot.

if you carve into it, it makes it so much easier. you dont have to worry about catching your tips then.

yea definetly ski switch a ton to get used to it. also once your better going switch, make sure you pop hard off the lip otherwise your will catch/drag your tips on the takeoff.

i can ski switch lookin over both shoulders but I too look over my right and spin right when hittin shit even though i spin left. I'm also in the learning stage but I've found that going faster makes it way easier/less awkward to hit stuff switch.

A few options for you-
1- Practice looking over your left shoulder skiing switch until it becomes comfortable, eventually you'll get it.
2- Practice spinning right and then do switch right spins.
3- Do a blindside takeoff (come up the jump looking over your right shoulder, and spin left), it might not be as common, but it works well for many people, eg. Rory Bushfield, Ian Cosco, Mike Henituk, etc, etc.
4- Learn all of the above, then you gots some mad skills.

yeah going fast really helps. Get comfortable skiing and carving switch. Just do some blue groomers and get used to the feeling. Center mounting really helps for skiing switch and switch take offs. If you can carve both ways switch (which is easiest if you alternate shoulders to look over) then taking off is a breeze.
My advice: learn to carve switch and look over both shoulders and go fast.
