Timm- I have a pair of Diamir Freerides. They are pretty nice...by no means is it the same as a ski binding and I can't say that jumping would be the best thing for them. You can check out adapters if you're only doing occasional touring, they are made by Alpine Trekker.
Check out www.bcaccess.com for some good info.
If you have the extra cash AT boots aren't a bad idea if you can find a pair that'll fit you well, otherwise you may as well just boot it. Good luck, hope you find what you need.

fritschi is coming out with one this year that is as close to a regular binding as possible...ie: pretty bomb proof.

My god! Addaptors do exist! I have been looking for such a thing for a while and assumed they didnt exist. I have been trying to build a pair out of ols ski boot soles and ski blade bindings - these are much better than anything I would have ended up making.
Anyone tried em? How are they? Will it be hard finding skins big enough for my seth pistols?
