On the 3rd level he does he gets the secret thing and the writing is japanese so I would assume he is japanese

well dont be so sure, that game is for supernintendo, and the games were pretty much in japanese, including Kirby.

ya but at the end it says played by (japanese writing). also that level where he gets 75 1 ups is crazy.
