Washing ski boots

My boots are starting to smell ridiculous, and i don't know if i can wash them or not.

anybody ever washed their liners before? i'm just worried about them losing shape or packing out or whatnot.

even if you cant technically wash them you could prolly give the liners and insoles a sponge bath. i would think that would help some.

you can get this ball that you leave in your boot whenever your not using it to make it smell like a flower =)

Wash manually if the liners If the shell spray them with a hose

nah dude. you can definatly wash them. NOT machine, but by hand. if you have any nikwax, use that. fill up a tub or something and hand wash with that stuff. then, let them sit and dry. toss them back together and enjoy. def. a good point about the shells too. wont hurt at all to rinse those.

one common problem I find with boots is that the toe part of the liners usually don't dry fast enough so they smell like shit after a few times of use, what I do is open up all the buckels and try to stretch the top part open as much as possible and leave it upside down on a heater vent at home, usually it's going to be dry or close to be dry by the next day. Make sure you always try to dry the inside of the liner if possible, especially if you have sweaty feet

all i know is that when i get done water ramping, my liners are thrashed... seem like the same would happen if you washed your liners in the machine, and by hand probably wouldn't do much...

well considering that i totally balled while i was skiing over the man-made pond at my local mountain and went totally in the water, my boot liners obviously got wet so if you just kinda cleaned it and scrubbed it with water (not sure how much that would help) i think that would be fine cause nothing happened to my boots, and i wouldn't think anything with ever happen to them if you added some water and soap or something

my 1080 boots smelled rank so i took out the liners and washed them really well with soap and water and then washed the plastic shell, and left both out in the hot sun to dry. it worked alright the smell is completly gone, i also soaked them in febreeze. i think its ok to get the insides wet, they are ski boots and ski boots are meant for snow and snow melts.

you should get a boot dryer and everytime you finish skiing you put them on the dryer and the moister is gone and there is no time for it to get gross
