Big Troubles or Karmas for me

I'm 6'0 205 and ski probably 70-30 all mountain to park. More friends carve than sit in park. Mostly ski Killy, sometimes Suday River and Sugarloaf here in the East Coast although I will be going out West this year. I have 1080's I've been rocking in 181's for the last 3 years and was going to get Foils but I'm bored with Salomon and their graphix.
I'm leaning towards 186 Big Troubles but the stiffness of Karmas is tempting. I hit the mountain pretty hard but I also like to play around and ski light popping off kickers landing switch and stuff even when I'm skiing with carving friends. Is the stiffness and performance of the Karma for Groomers enough to pass on the BIg Troubles? I hate groomers, but reality is sometimes you have to ski them in East especially when your with carving friends... I'm thinking the Big Troubles will be sweet for Soft warm days in Crud, powder days when we get them, and days where I just sit it the park. Probably enough so to pass on Karmas plus they seem closer to 1080's in terms of stiffness and weight.
What you all think? Those graphix on the Big Troubles for 07 are ridiculous also...

i havn't heard a bad thing yet about the karmas. i know alot of the volkl team uses them in the park. and you shouldn't lean twards the big troubles just for the pretty topsheet. i don't know much about either ski since i havn't ridden either so i'd wait for someone to post who has ridden them both for a better feedback.

How often do you ski Killy? I have the same issue as you. I do a ski house with friends from Boston and nobody skis park so I end up doing a lot of groomers, and then some bumps and trees when I'm lucky. It's tough to find people to ski park with, and you need friends to pump you up to do shit..it's hard to push it when you are alone.

Oh, BTW, I got Karmas in 185 and I'm 6-1 205. Used to ski Salomon CR LAB 180's so it's going to be a bit of an adjustment skiing the wider ski in the bumps but I've heard the Karma is a nasty (good) bump ski.

Outer-I probably ski Killy every weekend or every other. I don't have place but that's my favorite place to go so I make the hike.
Sometimes I can get the family and friends in the park with me but I have to strategize. For example last year they setup some jumps at the bottom of Dream Maker where it cuts over to Wildfire so I was taking people that way so I could hit the jumps. Definitely need people watching to get you fired up though. Nothing worse than hit a table with nobody to appreciate your efforts.
What's the width on the Karmas 87? That's perfect, I think the Foils are 87 also in the 182. The Big Troubles are 92, that's the only thing I'm sketched out about, but I still think they will be nasty. Groomers whatever, but when the bottom of Wildfire at Bear Mountain gets all soft and nasty you'll be loving the extra width to throw around soft snow. It's situations like when superstar/Vertigo are all hard that the wider skis will be bumming...
