I recommend you play all types of music so everyone can have fun, don't play only one type, except if you want to hear people bitching about the song choices for a while. Get some punk, ska, metal, pop, R'n'B, hip-hop, rap, even metal. Just get a lot of things and get some old school songs too, its always fun to break out the old hits too.

i did my schoools prom music. they WILL NOT PLAY what you put on it, no matter how cool with the DJ you think you are. they will play SOME of it. keep it to shit the commonfolk like. the dj WILL NOT play mos def and all the shit you think is cool, so more like crunkkk hits and lil john and that shit you dont want to hear, because hell only play sexyback and my love and whatever is on TRL and known as "classic hits!". for a last dance, john mayer's gravity went over VERY well, because he played it. there are like 3 versions of the song. pm me if you want the lists i made for my prom
