I ski mainly park. I'm 6'1 and was wondering what size poles i should get. The classic chart says 52" but i think those would be a little too long. Would 44" be ok?
I'm your height and have 48" and 50" poles. The problem you'll have with the 44" poles is that when you go to push yourself on a flat spot half the time you'll completely miss the ground and look like a total n00b. If you want short poles, I'd go no shorter than 46". Of course, going and trying some to see how they feel would probably be your best bet.
^ha, hes rite im 6'0 and i used a 44 last season and its a cunt to push on flats, but i felt better w/ the shorter poles in the park...take the good w/ the bad i guess
i'd go with 46" if i was you, maybe even 48". Im 5'10" and use 46" for park and just picked up some 52"'s that i cut down to 49" for weekend racing/allmountain.
