go to any hardware store and get a rivet gun, buy rivets that you like, from there or off net, whatever. and then you rivet them into your tips and tails or boots, just gotta get a decent gun. I have one that will do it and it cost me about $50, I used it on my boots once to make them stiffer.
Yea its pretty much a do-it -yourself project. I wouldnt recomend it tho, thats gona reak havic on the integrity of your skis and it will void any warentie that you may have
Only do it if you actually need it. If the skis you own have had delaming issues, then it might be a good idea to put rivets in them in order to prevent it. This was done on a pair of skis I have and it seems to have worked so far. However, if you're trying to make your skis look better this probably isn't the way to do it.
i think oyu can just buy screw-in rivets. the kind where you just drill a hole and put the stud through and the flange is like 2x the size of the hole and you just screw the 2 parts together.
yea, about the screw ones, bicycle components are what you need. chainring bolts are perfect, hovever they are long. you can grind them down, OR, if you can find them, the bolts that attach derailleur hangers are the same, just shorter. i held my 4frnts together with them. they worked great, and looked pretty dope too with the allen head. just make sure you throw some woodglue inside, and use locktite on the thread.
probably not worth the risk of fucking up your skis, unles theyre already beat up and dont have a warranty on them, if you dont care about htem, then just buy a studding gun...but if you really really really want the studs just buy PE's
