ive been thinking about getting like either an Ortovox, a trackor or peips........ thoughts/suggestions?

Ive been looking into getting an avy beacon too the past couple of months.  But I live on the east coast and have zero experience/advice/knowledge of them.  But I posted and look at another website for advice on that kind of stuff.  telemarktips.com has so much info on beacons its unholy.  I started a thread that was kinda what you asked and got a bunch of recomendations.

i have one, there pretty much the cheap standard, the BCA one is digital and much easier to use, with an arrow and distance in meters, with the f1 you have to practice a whole bunch of times before it becomes useful. "they" say f1's are better in multiple beacon searches, but for that you'd need experience anyhow..
