Duckstance mounted bindings?!!

Hey ppl..

Can anybody tell me if that is a good idea?
I heard that Seth morrison mount his bindings like that.
and that nordica makes their boots a bit like that too..

For those who do not know what it is, it is when the bindings are mounted like this: \/

It's supposed to make it so you're standing in a more natural position since your toes point out when you're standing.  The only ski I know of that people mount like that are the Pontoons, but I don't think it's even that popular on those.  So if you're thinking about mounting a pair of skis like that, chances are you shouldn't.

Nordica doesnt make their boots in a duck stance, and its not that great of a idea. What advantage would there be of mounting your skis in that stance? Just cause you hear that a pro is doing something doesnt mean you should do it too. There was a thread on this a while back, try the searchbar on the topic and see what it pulls up.

fischer made boots like that, but it was pigeon toed, so your feet dont point out.
the idea was that if you force your knees and legs to line up straight instead of slightly out it will be easier to ski, and better for your lower body.

it never caught on.

duckfeet will be way more comfortable for skiing in a straight line, but you will get faster and more responsive edge-to-edge controll if your feet are pointed in the exact same direction as your skis. dont do it bro.

I think Seth and Shane do this on the 'Toons because of the shape of the ski and the fact that you really aren't skiing many groomers with those things.

It makes you stronger and you will be way quicker edge to edge, it's mainly for fat skis and makes them hell of a lot easier to get on edge, you can carve as hell withc duckstance. A swedish ski maker called hendryx (www.hendryxskis.se) supports this, and as you can see on the webpage they carve as hell with duckstance and thier skis. In powder it makes you a lot stronger because that's the natural way your feet are.
