Bad fall at whistler...

I went up to Whis on monday and got a pretty serious concussion. I have no recolection whatsoever of what happened, cept i think it was in the pipe. I dont rember anything on monday for about 5 or so hours. Apparently I went up the peak chair, walked into the ski patroll hut and then downloaded from peak, got on a sled, went up to the gondola, downloaded the gondola, went to a waiting car and was driven to the clinic. My earliest memory is lying in the clinic after I had been there for about a hour. I was wondering if anyone saw me/helped me or if anyone else has been in this situation before...Its realy weird and confusing. I have had concussions before but not so bad.

Same exact thing happened to me but in the park at park city, apparently I overshot a table thats just what my friend said, the only thing I remember now is waking up in the ambulance. I went out the next day but just cruised around, and it was suprisingly easy to get back to going inverted and shit, but that's probally because I don't remember anything from it.

Yes, but it didn't do shit becuase I smashed my face , I only know becuase the golfball sized bruise/lump on my right cheek and a ton of scrapes.

man i got a serious concussion playing hockey a year and a bit ago and its freaky when u cant remember an entire day...appently i got a few goals too :D but i kno how u feel when u cant remember shit

That happened to me, just replace whistler with shithole and pipe with 20 foot table and its basically the same thing.

sorry man, I hope someone knows what happened.

that happened to a freind of mine while we were skiing a few years back. He didn't know who I was. why he was with me. if he was with anyone else. why he was skiing. where he was. Most of that came back, but he still has no recolection of the accident, or the run prior

i went off a 75 footer at squaw, overshot it and landed sideways, i can't remember all that day, and some of the day before.

don't worry about it though, i'm fine now and its only been a week.

i got a concussion playing lax once. i took a shot to helmet. my helmet cracked and flew off my head. next thing i knew i was at home the next day waking up for school. my friends and parents said i would start to remember shit then id freak out and forget everything again and get all nervous. it was so scary remembering getting hit and blacking out and then waking up in my own bed like 12 hours later. i have no idea how i got changed out of my gear, how i remembered my locker combo, how i drove home, how i somehow did all of my homework, how i took a shower and went to bed and forgetting all of it. it was fucked up.

ha i did the same thing at whistler, hit an ice chunk and smashed my head pretty bad i actually remember doing it but still dont remember my 8 hour flight to whistler or the drive up from vancouver, or where i slept the night before its weird

those ice chunks are freakin dangerous, i was ripping down whistler bowl couldn't see anything because it was so fogged in, thought i was the hottest piece of shit out there ripping by everyone then i hit a ice chunck did a full front landed on my back and smashed my head into the snow, my head hurt like a bitch for a couple days

That sounds pretty scary - but you seem alright now. I actually know myself unconscious during a patrol training exercise - trying to side step down a ridiciously steep slope with a stretcher, there was a bush underneath my foot, it gave way and i stumbled and rolled for about 20 meters down the face of this slope. Bumped my head on a rock/branch not sure and know myself out cold for 5 min or so :)

But either way you seem fine - you'll be able to look back on this and laugh

i under rotated a front flip and landed flat on my lower back. it was funny until i realized i couldnt feel my legs. then i got all spooked and then i just passed out. the er doctor said i was real close to becoming a parapalegic. that sucked.

i was doing rodeo 7s over a huge table and i overotated into a rodeo 9 and my friend said i had landed on my face i was out for two minutes and when i woke up i shook my head really hard to get the snow out of my helmet and i went out again when i woke up like 30 secs later there was ski patrol there and was telling me not to move but i got up and walked with my friend to his truck and we drove home i have no idea what happend he just told me everything
