I know, but I've got no sympathy for the kid crying to his mommy with a pair of broken libertys. I saw a kid totally delaminate a pair of stealths last weekend.
The last pair of broken stealths I saw didn't even get warrantied, despite the fact that there were massive quality issues with the skis that year. In fact, Liberty was made aware of the situation, and decided that honouring their warranty wasn't something they planned on doing. The skis couldn't even be shipped back, and they sat around for a damn long time, until the guy got new skis and threw his busted stealths into the trash, where they belonged in the first place.
I'm stoked you're happy with your skis, and I hope, for your sake, that Liberty has made improvements with their skis.
not a kid - so yeah - libertys are geting better - i had the KGBs all summer at windells, they did not break - but i broke the stealths in 2 weeks and the two have simialr construction. so it is looking better. just saying, they are fun
he's saying if your a good skier, they won't last, as in, he thinks they will break. i've heard liberty has stepped up this year, hopefully their skis wont snap so easy
have you ever ridden them? have you ever seen a pair break? is this based on actual experience and not ns? if you answered no to any of the aforementioned questions, your response doesnt mean shit. dont trust ns without any type of discretion, this is a bandwagon HAVEN.
my friend got teh stealths last year, snaped a ski at mt. hood this summer on a cork 9, and liberty sent him some larose's free. Theyre a core company, and the larose pros are A SICK SKI, i got to ride them yesterday
Was riding a pair of of 05 stealths (originals) that same season... sometime in March they started to slightly delam underfoot, but were still made a rideable rail ski with an epoxy job. I wrote Liberty an email and let them know. Asked if they needed pictures or the skis... they told me to ride the skis until they were dead and they sent me a pair of their 06 stealths the next summer once they finished production. I never sent them pictures or the skis. Their original line had some serious issues, but from my experience I wouldn't say they were never planning on honoring their warranty.
couple years ago newschoolers own witt foster was on their team riding a pair of stealths delammed at all four tips. idk the full deal on that and im sure theyve improved but back then it didnt seem so rad
