Waterproofing

SOmeone help me here..is 10K water proof alot, and 20000 g Breathable Rating good?

10k is pretty good and breathabilty is even better it will widthstand even most wet snow conditons but dont expect to stay dry in the rain.... and depending on the material it may not be as good at the end of the season.
All my obie stuff is 5k, 5k and its fine untill the snow is REAAALY wet or its a rain mix...

10k is fine you dont even need that high waterproffing really unless your in the rain...

ok, true but if you can only afford one jacket and your're going to ski when it snows, then 10k is a minimum.

10k = bare minimum waterproofing you should ever consider.  It will be ok if you ski in a dry place - aka CO, WY, UT

20K breathability it good though.

if you are anywhere wet you should have at least 20k waterproofing

Yeah, i'm from Timmins believe or not so I see where you'r coming from). I doNT usually comment often But I was at a board shop the other day and over heard a sales guy telling someone that 8000mm would be plenty for the cotton wood canyons. that kind of stuff drives me nuts.
