What boots to buy

Hey
I was down at my local ski shop looking for a pair of boots to buy. The guy serving me asked me what kind of skier I am and I told him agressive freeskier. He ask some other questions then suggested I get the Salomon X-Wave 8. Does anyone here use these boots or have you used them before? He priced them at $466 canadian (tax off sale event) which is $406 usd. Would they be worth going for or is there another boot that I could get for a cheaper price that would be just as good as those? Thanks for reading.

If you ski a lot dont get 'em. My brother had 'em and they were trashed after two seasons. I dont think they can hold up with constant use.

What do you consider a lot? How many days was he getting in and what kind of skier is it? Also is he a big because the softer 8's are generally for smaller people. These boots go up to 10. And for reference I'm 5'10 170lbs.

he was lighter than you and they maybe have around 150 days on em. he is pretty aggressive but he takes good care of his stuff the boots i just dont think are worth that much money.
