This is a quote from the article on their site about the global X-Games. 'Perennial X Games standout Tanner Hall didn’t seem bothered to miss the podium.' Anyone else on this site watch it live when Tanner got really upset after both his runs. And after he decked out the 2nd run ran somewhere and appeared to be crying.

people always diss tanner for getting pissed after he crashes or doesn't get top 5...don't rag on the guy he;s the best skier in the world and he knows it...its his motivation to get pissed at himself because he knows he can beat everyone with his skill.

I've gotten the privelage to hang with tanner the past 2 years at the X Games and US Open. Tanner has gotten to the point where he knows he is the shit, and he knows he can win. If he has a crappy day and falls, he gets upset with himself, like everybody else. The difference is, after the fact, Tanner is still the shit, still making bank, and his best friend got third (CR). Tanner also knows that credt should be givin where credit is due, so if sombody does better than him, he has respect.

Somtimes I just like to sit back and allow all the ignorant people in this world easily ammuse me. Other times they just piss me off.

speaking of off days, there are days when my skis feel really heavy and i cant even spin a nice 360 grab. other days my skis feel really light and i do well. what the crap is up with this? just a question.

im not making fun of Tanner. I know how pissed off i get when i mess up at somethign that i know i shouldnt. Im sure he just had a bad day. Im just saying its dumb that freeskier would say that.

tanners one of the best all round skier, but there are a couple that match up to him in pipe (candide for one) so its not always tanners-going-to-take-all-in-n-e-contest-he-is-in gig. everyone has off dayz as stated above so give the guy a damn break

i did notice him with shawn 'the flying tomato' white watching the vert skatboarding on tv and he still seemed bumbed, guess its casue everyone else was doing wicked

Sorry, but so what I heard is after his second run he ran off and cried and didn't come back. Now criing I have no problem w/because it sucks when you try your hardest and things don't go your way, I have done this before after racing and eating shit when I know if I wouldn't have done that I would have at least been top 3. But when you run off that is pretty much being a little bitch. That is so disrespectful to the other skiers that day. When he had his days and other skiers recked or had bad runs they at least admitted they lost and stuck around. Not that Tanner isn't agood skier but if that is what he acctually did then he is a fucking cry baby.

Getting pissed is one thing being a whiney bitch is another. Anyone here who says they wouldnt be pissed at missing out on 10 grand or whatever 1st got is full of it...but running off and crying just makes you look like a pussy and thus if you represent our sport and try to be a bad ass what does that say about our sport? Grow a set and at least swear and bust your skis over your knee or something like that.

Yeah ok freeskier is a good magazine, glossy! I don't much read the articles because they're probably stupid, but the site blows ass! It's the advertising haven for the skiing world, its a joke, the competetion coverage plain just sucks and most of the 'features' on the first page is most: ' go to ___________ (insert lame ski area here) they have a kickin scene....' or something like ' buy this stupid boot cleaner product' or blah blah...yeah it sucks, its been bothering me too for a while.
