you hear it generalized on here all the fuking time. personally i think its overhyped-i don't think its ALWAYS true-but it definitely is true some of the time, and when it is true the segments are fucking required viewing for all people wishing to gain perspective on snow movies.
my segs.
-japan seg. in futureproof-hands down my favorite snowboarding segment. the pow in this segment is unreal. the pillow drops are fucking legendary. it makes me say "hey i want to snowboard."

Theres a lot of talent in the snowboarding scene.. from their movies to magazines, they put out a lot of beautiful work. Skiing is getting there though.

I really like alot of stuff I see out of Travis Rice and Jeremy Jones. I like big mountain stuff much more than jibbing, so I tend to prefer skiing. I like absinthe's movies though.

I think skiing is ahead of snowboarding in terms of urban, but just from movies we are not there yet for bc. Just the jumps alone are usualy more creative and interesting hits. Plus I think the filming is a tad better.

are you fucking retarded, snowboarders own urban, skiiers own in the bc. You guys have to face the fact that snowboarding videos will always be better becuase of all the variations you can do on a snowboard and all the companies in the industry.

HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT? if you believe this, why do you ski? cause your not "cool" enough to snowboard? skiing is JUST as tech on rails as boards, and alotta the time looks better too. i LOVE snowboarding but people always seem to lack the creativity to really see what is possible on skis, so they just assume what they see on a snowboard is that much better.

I have to agree to the extent that newer ski videos suck compared to newer snowboard videos, you should see my collection of vids 4 years ago i had every ski vid out now im buyin one or 2 and like 3 or 4 snowboard vids. Mainly I dont think the new guys go big like the old guys, seems like there to stylie to pop too. Like if you watch a newer snowboard movie the BC jumps they hit are often taller then the rider, where as you watch ski videos and lots of BC hits are tiny there like between the riders chest and waist, Ive hit bigger jumps doin the same tricks. ANd it also seems like ski videos are gettin over edited, like i wannna watch skiing not editing, tho it is an important tool you can take it too far.

i dont really think skiiers own in the bc, they dont land switch very often and some of the cliff landings ive seen look spretty sketch for a movie seg.
