Dud skateboards

i heard that some of the skateboards you get online are shitty quality, like factory messups, and the ones you get in a skateboard shop are always good, is this true?

If you go to a shop you can see the exact board your getting. Online you have no idea. Useally a "dud" skateboard has to do with the graphics, and not so much the performance, but not all the time.
