listen to the director's commentary in lss. berman definately says that even though it is the old mike nick rail, liam wanted to go and do it all the way and sick or something.
let me just clear it up. Long white c-rail that mick nick did in Propoganda, done in wicked by lippiat, and done in LSS by liam. Just wondering where it was, everyone says troy?
go over bridge into troy from the west, turn right, its basically right there at appts or retirement home thingy across from a fire station, it sucks unless you have a lot of snow, the last 10 feet of the rail curve slightly different from the first 3/4 of it making it pretty hard to get, liam was the only one to grind all the way to the end, everyone else has hopped off 5 feet early or so
yea... didnt you see the post i made with the google map image? i did that shit like 4 years ago.. its real fun. I thought me and a few buddies were the only ones to know about it for a long time.. then next year.. it was in propaganda..(it does help that mick nick and jay leventhal are from guilderland)
Not to call you out or anything but it's not easier than it looks: in fact, it's one of the hardest rails I have ever tried. Unless you build a massive straight-on booter (like Mike did), you have to slide the thing pretty slow. Since the rail is square and it doesn't tilt inward you will be on the edge until the last 15 feet. Also, at no point do you accelerate because the rail is really flat. It's not "easier than you think", nor is it a rail that you can just "lock onto and accelerate like mad and then ur at the end".
its damn hard, my friend lives about a mile from it, we all tried it but no one could get to the very end, so hard to keep balanced just right because its so mellow and long. Props to anyone who has done it.
yeah i've hit that a bunch and liam's not lying. yes, liam is 100x better rail rider than I am, but the rail itself is not curved, it's flat on top, which really makes getting the lean thing right kinda hard.
it has nothing to do with him being the best rail rider in the world. The kid said the rail wasnt very hard when in fact it was one of the hardest rails a pro has ever hit. So for the other kid to think its pretty easy he must either be the god of skiing or BSing. doesnt really matter though sick rail
im not b.s'in. i slid it left foot forward and LD slid it right foot forward.. i was able to lean over my tips and stay on. doing it right foot foward i can see how its easy to shoot off to the left..
