Replying to Starting a production company?

i need some info and help on what it takes as far as making a feature length ski film......as far as equipment goes i have a panasonic gs500 3ccd camera, shotgun mic, tapes, sony vegas 6.0, a shitty tripod, and a camera bag

i know this sounds very am but im doing this as a project and also for fun. i will be filming skiers at jiminy peak and basically i just want to document them through out the season. since the east coast has absolutely no snow right now, what are some things that i could start doing for the film as far as filming, organizing and stuff like that
