dont write me off just yet. those rollers here will know what im talkin about.
when i see ski films i always see the samw skiers, tanner, vinnie, cr, etc... but, when i look through daily bread rollerblading mag, i see tons of differant sk8ers. all the guys are good enough to be sponsored and put in videos, but only those who are truly amazing and progressive will get lasting recognition (shima, latimer, julio), this shows true talent, and lasting impact in their sport. the old guys who were the originators (arlo, angie...), but cant keep up, have put themselves in supporting roles, instead of taking up valuable video sections.
i see skiers like vinnie, douglas, etc... (no disrespect to them, they're sick, but...) having huge sections in ski movies, but other guys like crichton, emil coty, mickael, dumont, pep, grunrow, the list goes on, who are pushing this sprt to unknown levels, only getting a few shots in the credits. and if they truely change the face of skiing, and keep pushing it, then make them the new icons of skiing.
Skateboarding isnt harder then rollerblading, it just has a slower learning curve because everytime you fall, you have to chase your skateboard to the other side of the skatepark
