reasons why its a cork

1. it is off axis and tipped backwards.
its closer to a cork than any other rotation

2. your argument that it is a different rotation than cork because he doesnt tip back and come around is stupid because that cant be done.

3. look at cork three and cork 7 the rotation is very different
not just a slight adjustment and how hard to set. but they are still cork.

no a cork straight air would be impossible. a cork 180 wasjust prove possible. the only reason favre can do that is becuase he carves into it. you cant carve into a staright air like that.

by you saying that your saying you cork straight air by going off a jump, going sideways in the air, and then stopping and going back to normal without completing a full invert. if somebody could do that physically, then yes it would be possible to cork a straight air. if you go sideways in the air while spinning, its corked, at least from what i know.

gonna have to disagree with you a cork is defined as going off axis wit your feet down hill of you head. which is what he does. a cork straight air would require going cork and off axis then changing your motion and defying physicsto land. cork 1s and 3s are possible because if you carv up the lip and leave the jump close to off axis then you can spend all your air time righting your motion so you go back on axis. honestly this is a dumb ass debate cause who really cares what you call it? if someone says cork 1 every one can see the trick in there head and theres no confusion. and even if there was whos cares? its skiing, it looks dope, its a trick who gives a shit what name you give it? and yea i did spend all that time writing that out cause im bored and putting off my homework till im tired enough to justify not doing it with gettin mjuch needed rest.

its a cork 1 anyone who says otherwise is just looking for an unnessasary argument but will never truly admit to that...word

if people are gonna say cork 1's are impossible, then you gotta say cork 3's are impossible, look as his rotation he sets it exactly the same as a cork 3, gets as off axis as anyone doing 3's, just in a 180.

It's not that difficult if you think about it. It's all about body control. Carve the shit out of the lip, then bring your legs up and start setting your weight back down towards the landing. ie as you get like 90 start pushing with your whole back toward the landing.

So picture yourself sideways like in the vid when he is cork. At that point shift your weight so your leading with your back, like a zero spin, and it should bring your body back upright and a bit front seat on the landing.

I will try and get a vid of it being done on a trampoline. It's mad hard to land on the stick it pad, I always either end up landing on my back, side, or knees. I am hoping to get it this Friday though.

exactly. It all comes down to opinion. From what ive heard from most ppl's definitions of a cork, you need more then 180* of rotation to pull one off. I think its just a really off axis 1. Not really even that close to the path of a cork.

so for everybody when i was in breckenridge with charles and jf shooting for plehouse and i was doing 180's on the first jump and i was carving on the jump and i don't remember who but somebody came to me to tell me i was doing cork 180.
after to tell if it's cork 180 or not it's pretty hard to say cause sometimes you see somebody he's doing cork 3 and it's not totally cork but everybody say it's cork
i don't really understand why you argue for a 180 it's just a 180 and for everybody who think it's a cork just think it's a cork and for the others think what you want but stop arguing about a 180

just my opinion and observation but the camera angle is so high and it looks like his skis are level with his head, actually the left ski is above his head, so if the camera were level with him, i bet his skis would be above his head, and that would make it a cork 1 by everyones definition, except those who believe you need to rotate 360 to be cork. maybe thats just me though, take another look and see if you agree
