That's right. They're picking on a small business because one of their products has what their lawyers consider a likeness of the bands persona. It's unfair that these washed-up, untalented millionaires are looking for a way to make money because no one's buying their CD's.

Let's send angry e-mails, or start a petition or something!

first of all, a petition really wouldnt help, maybe finding a generous and talented lawyer to represent Line, but not a bunch of angry letters or whatever.

NAh---FUCK GENE! I do'nt think the rest of the band gives a shit. Especially Ace Frehley, who left KISS long before they started to suck ass in the 80s and 90's. Its all about KISS 77'. Gene has always been a total money hungry nerd, just watch one of his tv shows, He's lost all rock star status!
I really don't think he'll get any money outta LINE anyway..worst case LINE may have to cancel the ski graphic.

Maybe someone should write a really nice letter to them explaining our situation and have everyone here sign it. Like how a lot of kids arent gonna get there skis and how Line is sweet and we don't want them to have to throw all that money away. We could give some alternate suggestions like maybe a small royalty per ski sold. Hell Line and Kiss could throw some big even and get Kiss some great PR where they play a concert and theres a rail jam with a bunch of pros and everybodys having a good time listening to Detroit Rock City or some shit like that. If we make kiss realize think we like them then maybe they'll be nicer. Saying fuck kiss over and over isn't gonna change anything.

better yet: we make condoms that say kiss with a line through it. that way it will be more of a novelty, and it could be kind of a pun. Also, nobody wears wristbands, and everybody can enjoy some good lovin', especially if it supports Line.

Fuck line. I'm going to take an Idea from another thread and say that the 08 anthems should be bob marley skis.

Bob Marley would never sue line... not to mention hes way cooler than Kiss and an actual musician...

I'm not even sure if its a guy from kiss, much less paul or gene...

If you look at it, it looks like any other glitterrock big 80's new wave hairdo guy with a guitar... the only difference is he has a white face.. so its assumed to be kiss..

They arent piping up because they dont care if they are on a pair of skis, in fact they think it is cool to be put on a pair of skis.

Kiss however thinks otherwise...


The only person that should be pissed they arent on a pair of skis is Chuck Norris, who by now totally deserves a spot on a pair.

I don't see how they can claim it's a member of KISS. Like someone said, it looks like any other 80's rocker. Big hair, guitar, etc. Sure he has a white face but what the fuck? It doesn't say KISS on anything.

Yeah.. if they wanted to copy KISS they would have used the same font as KISS to spell LINE.. kinda like K2 did for the AK Maidens.

But Line didnt do that, because thats not what they were going for.

Yeah, Ill give them the most successfully marketed part... The rock band part? ehhh.. they really arent one... they just play guitar kinda.. have catchy tunes.. and have lots of fire and shit at their shows..

Basicly that means that KISS and GWAR are in the same exact field of work.

Showbands. Not real bands (although GWAR has some insanely funny shit going on at their shows... Just ask Mr.Bish about it, he will tell you allll about it)

How about a bit of an education before you bust out the idealsitic hippie-assed comments like "Fuck capitalism." Move to Mongolia.

I didn't say KISS was the most talented band of earth, far from it in fact, but the fact remains, they brought the showmanship and theatre to rock and they did it damn well. Much to the dismay of many 'core' rock fans, Gene and co also treated it like a buisniess and made ridiculous ammounts of cash off everything from t-shirts to Colorforms to action figures, in addition to selling out arenas.

I'm just making sure all of my friends are boycotting dem bitches. A pittion or letter is a good idea, we can get plenty of signatures here and people can go around to their friends and family and get signatures because they will most likely dislike the idea of Kiss picking on a small ski company.

We could also make a strategic alliance with mothers against Kiss and other anti-kiss group that may have some sort of leverage.

I believe actions speak pretty loudly, and being what it looks like KISS has done, its pretty obvious that they think with thier wallet. If you are going to sue a ski company for something on a graphic as petty as this one, then you deserved to be ridiculed hardcore...

They didnt even really try to copy kiss or anything... it just happens to sortakinda look like one of the guys from Kiss, or could possibly be a depiction of one...

If it was straight up GENE SIMMONS ugly face and wacky tounge on the graphics of the skis, that would be one thing, but this is an outrage dude..
