they have less snow than schweitzer.....so it is all in the eye of the beholder. i am probably not going to be there cause i dont want to drive an hour to ski on sticks. i know it is skiing and it shouldnt' matter what kind of skiing it is as long as it is skiing. i might go and build a booter at schweitzer and call it good.
yeah but lookout has more dirtish grassish terrain so they need less snow, same with 49, schweitzer always opens a week or so after cause they have more rocky terrain and need more snow. im goin to 49 this weekend.
i went to the opening day at 49 last year and the lift lines were over and hour long. i want to go and would probably would, but i dont have any boots. so if anyone has a pair of 23.5 boots that would be willing to loan me for a week or so that would be amazing.
I'm thinking of coming out there this Sunday from Kalispell, MT, maybe even Silver if it's going to be open. I never been to either one of those though any of you think it would be worth the drive?
honestly, no. they are small crappy mountains, they wont have their parks up, twigs and rocks will be showing everywhere, and only like a third of the mountain will be open. i would just wait like a week or two more.
meh, im comin home for thanksgiving break and instead of hikin somethin like usual i think im just goin to wait a few more weeks, im tired of repairing my skis over stupid stuff
Or just run into the hills and get a couple of truckloads of snow and session handrails in spokane all weekend, well that's what Evil Snoman is doing and we have been doing for a couple weeks! it's sick shit!
Went there on Saturday... it was good to actually ski for the first time in over a year but the hill isn't anything to talk about, it was all small groomers and horrible crud everywhere else. 1 minute skiing - 15 minutes to get back to the top. Glad I went though, it's better then no skiing.
