Have been lurking here for awhile and just registered so I could get some help on Skis.
- 6"3'
- 190
- 40% groomed, 40% non groomed (not deep powder), 20% park
- Above average
-Ski in California mostly (Northstar, Alpine, Heavenly, etc..)
New season is coming up and i'm looking for a nice set of twin tip ski's. I'm an advanced skier and want to get a pair of ski's that will handle groomed fairly well, off groomed (not powder though) and just be fun to play around with while in the park. I already own a set of ski's for strictly groomed/fast runs and deep powder however I'm going up to the slopes alot this season mainly with friends and only want to bring one set of ski's. If anyone has some nice recommendations for twin tips to check out please help me out!
Big Thanks!

they have a sick line of skis look at the
i think you should look at the teneighty foil or SPK, or whichever one looks best for you. just shop around with brands on their web sites and compare which ones fit you best, then narrow it down untill you have your skis in your hands

that or Fischer Atuas would be money, though those are harder to find.

dude, he wants them for only 20% park so spks (a pure park ski) are out of the question. he's also too big for foils, so discount those too.
the best bets are:
Rossi Scratch BC WRS in a 185
Volkl Karma in a 185
Head Mojo 90 in a 186
Dynastar Big Trouble in a 186
Movement Gladiator in a 183
4FRNT MSP in a 180 or 190
Fischer Atua in a 186
These are all fat enough to handle it off the groomed, stiff enough to blast through poor conditions and hold an edge on piste and will be fun in the park. You can't go wrong with any of these...

thanks for the help guys. I'll be printing out the list and going to some local shops to see if they have any of them in stock that I can check out in person and get a feel for what I like.
Also for bindings, is there a certain binding that works well with twin tips or what is a good choice for me?
Thanks again!

yea i'll try and check them all out this weekend. If I can't find locally do you guys recommend online stores? I've usually picked up my ski's in Tahoe but i'm in the bay area right now and not sure if there will be many stores with stuff around here.
also any word on which bindings I should look at?

most likely going to go with the Dynastar Big Trouble in 186. My friend owns a 2006 model pair and is happy with them, I think he said the only thing that was changed in the 07 model was the graphics on the ski.
Anyone recommend a nice set of bindings for this ski?

hagrid - movement looks good but they are just too new of a company, would rather get another set of twin tips now and then later on down the road get a set of movement's if they are still doing well. 4front i've heard of way too many lamination problems. might look into the fischer's though.
jon91/snow720 - yea thats the first ski I was seriously looking into as a good pick. From what my friend told me and from what i've read alot of people say it's too stiff for a park ski. I don't intend to ride alot of park but I already have a stiff set of ski's for strictly packed snow so thats why I think I might look into another ski.
ANY INPUT ON BINDINGS??? :) Thanks again for all the help guys!
