Actually life spans are increasing. but that I sense is beside your point, which is a very very good point that I totallly agree with. If you want to read a book about the absurdity and myths of war, read this: "War is a force that gives us meaning" by Chris Hedges. Amazing book.

I agree with teh weed part, but it's not going to happen. The fact of the matter is, humans are violent and quite frequently disagree on many things passionately. The only thing that can solve these differences is war and not talking and making treaties. This Ahmadinejad guy is a good example. All he wants is to destroy the US and kill Jews and Christians. There is no compromising. As for the war in Iraq, I don't think that's helping anything and probably making things worse. Revolutionary War, WW I, and WW II, those I believe were necessary, unfortunately.

aaahhh i guess there was a flaw in it.... its just that i was blazed and felt like war should end, so i figured everyone would have the same thought pattern, but i guess some people are just lame and like to kill people for Allah or oil or whatever the fuck they are fighting for

dude your wrong terrorism is an attack on civilians that disagree wtih your ideals. i agree that terrorists ARE angered by our presence but we were not in afghanistan whe al quida blew up the towers, and the french werent in afghanistan when there subways were bombed, terorism is based off of religion and ideals and is meant to scare people into agreeing with you, if you dont think that muslim extremists think they are doing the work of god by killing people YOU are an idiot because that is their whole reasoning (that thats what allah wants)

Terrorism is not spurred by religion, it it spurred by oppression and marginalisation of cultures, beliefs (religious or not) and people. The "terrorists" as you label them use religious extremism as a means to justify violence because they are desperate and feel so much resentment to the occupation of their countries and perceived moral superiority of the West through various economic and often religious forces and policies. Terrorism should be totally disassociated with religion to be interpreted properly.
The religion part is only the means that desperate people take to justify their last resort, often in this case, violence.
And when you look into the way these people use the religions, such as Islam, they take many aspects and even versus from the Qu'ran or other religious teachings out of context to justify their violent acts.

Don't you speak of religious terrorism, especially Islamic, because you are speaking of "Peaceful Terrorism" which contradicts all of yours and established definitions of terrorism.

lol!!!! When was the last time they attacked us? Jee, I think it was 9/11!! Last time I checked, we weren't occupying any countries over there in the middle east when that happened. FAIL. The reason why they are attacking us is because they view the US as a Christian country, just like we view their countries as Muslim countries. As we know, they don't like Christians and Jews and want to kill them. That, sir, is why they are attacking us, not because we're being mean to them.

Just for the record the US is being well over 100 times worse to the middle east than the middle east is to the US.

LAst time I heard the death count due to the war (this is just the iraquis/afgan's etc. not americans) was somewhere around 600 000. TEAM AMERICA!!!! FUCK YA!!!!!

You have no idea what you're talking about. He addressed this. The US military may not have been there, but our corporations and trading interests sure were, also our support for Israel is a major factor. It isn't as much of a "YOU'RE DIFFERENT! KILL!" attitude as you make out. They have real, reasonable objections to the US' role in the middle east, which they feel strongly about, and some of them decide to act on them in fucked up ways.

So you mean to tell me that if there was no US military anywhere in the middle east, they would stop attacking us not only there, but here on US soil? I don't think so.

In response to the other person that said they're also attacking us because of our economical influence on them...
Do you honestly think that these people are suicide bombing us for economical reasons? If anything, they're jerking us around economically. Who do you think is in control of that oil over there? Us or them? If you say us, you are terribly wrong.

No matter where we are or what we are doing, they will attack us. It's a religious war. They even say it themselves...

It's not necessarily for economic reasons that they're pissed off. The most basic thing is we are there, influencing their culture and trying to westernize them (whether that is part of our intention or not doesn't matter, it's how they see it). It doesn't help that we're infidel capitalist pigs who spit in the face of allah either, but that isn't the reason they want to kill us. It just makes us inferior to them in their eyes, and easier for the leaders who see a threat to their power to rally their followers under the veil of religion, but the problem is much more complex than that. Also, I bet that if we shut down all our international trade, took our troops out of everywhere they are, stop our support of Israel, and completely isolate ourselves, then we would not be bothered by Middle Eastern terrorists.

Ok, before I can really respond to that, I need you to help me out. Please define what we, as "infidel capitalist pigs" are doing (specifically) to "spit in the face of allah". Also, why should we terminate our alliance with Israel? We're not allowed to be allies with a Jewish nation? Again, it comes to religion. Thanks for not calling me an asshole like that other guy did. I wasn't advocating becoming isolationist and shutting off support for Israel, just saying that I think the Islamic terrorists might leave us alone if we did. I still stand by my argument that it does not come down solely to religion, but rather to more reasonable objections, using religion as a tool to separate the sides and evoke hate.

Ok, I see what you're saying. And I agree with you, that is what they think of us. But that doesn't justify their actions. I think we should be allowed to defend ourselves. Whether we're doing it correctly or not (war in Iraq), that's another story.
