Due to the recent news about the conflict and law suit between Kiss and Line skis with the anthem, ans the anthems not being delievered. I will never listen to Boyd Easley's song in Happy Dayz ever again, and will instead listen to the Moteley Crue song, Kickstart my heart. I will also boycott all other Kiss songs and whatever kiss stuff there is. Honestly, it won't make a different cause no one listens to those has beens anymore anyways, I encourage Poor Boyz productions to remake Boyd Easleys segment.

That's all I have to say besides, "FUCK YOU KISS!"

ok heres the deal....

KISS: One of the most successful rock bands ever, adored by millions, incredibly talented musicians, in short a FUCKING BIG DEAL.

LINE SKIS: some gay ski brand from the east coast that are so bad at doind what they do they pretty much went bankrupt, had to drop thier whole team. Now you fags are all pissed off because line were so unoriginal that they stole KISS' theme and put it on one of thier shitty skis. Plain and simply LINE infringed on copyright laws which you all are quite aware is ILLEGAL they are just lucky they hadnt already shipped and sold thier skis otherwise they would be in much bigger trouble. This is LINE's fault for being shitty at everything they do. And you cant tell me that that image of the rocker does not look very very similar to Ace Frehley.
i actually find this quite amusing i hope KISS sue LINE for all they are worth(probably about $500) and LINE go out of business......AGAIN!

I love how the end all for east coast/southern people is that they go out west for like a week a year. You go to Breck or somewhere for a week and ski shit conditions, maybe a huge dump, like 4 inches of pow. Oh, you definetly need a ski that 90+ in the center. Here's an idea, go find some logic, then get fucked.

I don't go to breckenridge, in fact, I dont like breck at all. I go outwest 2 times, not 1 and i go to utah, or good places in co, like a basin, loveland, not the overdone tourist places. I will also move outwest after college. Maybe Im entitled to get whatever ski I fucking want. 90+ is not that fat, Im not getting prophet 130s. Anthems don't even specialize that much in powder, they have the same flex pattern as invaders making them a perfect all around park ski.

Kiss...one of the most successful rock bands ever...hardly. They aren't even close to the top 20.

Line skis...good at what they do. Original graphics not stealing kiss' theme. It's a fucking guitarist with a white face. it could be anybody. Unless your a die hard kiss fan, no one would identify that picture straight to kiss. Line makes sick skis. Why are you even on this site, or even a skier if you hope that line goes down because of this. Sell your skis, buy a fucking guitar and be a kiss cover band, not that its hard or anything. No skiers want you on the hill. you don't support line, you don't support our sport. Why don't you hope level 1, plehouse, 4frnt, armada, any other companies good for our sport get sued.

So,

Kiss:not that great has been band

Line: good at what they do, should be able to ship their skis out

you: asshole that should be shot for hoping a great company like line should go down.

Alright kid, look. I'm at work, and very much over this. Here is what you should know. Musical choices in ski movie songs mean nothing in the real world. Totally inconsequential and not worth a second of your time. Hence why I told you to get a life; you're looking way too deep into this, and it's absolutely lame.
Furthermore,  I'll add that not only does KISS have a case against Line as far as copyright infringement, but with a precedent already being set in the ski world as far as graphics  (K2 vs. Iron Maiden, K2 vs. Sex Pistols), you'd think Line would have been responsible in a scenario such as this. Whether Line is in the wrong or not, they got themselves into this situation by not being careful. For this they are to blame, and if I were stuck without a pair of Anthems, I'd direct my anger at Line.
And finally, get another hobby, or a job, or something to occupy all this free time you have to come up with ridiculous threads like this.

SARCASM. It's a joke. i don't expect poorboyz to come up with another song. Im not talking about ski movie songs. sarcasm. damn. I listed the 20 bands cause knotbox didn't beleive there were 20 bands better than them, which to me(not as a skier, pissed at line, but as someone who enjoys music better than kiss) was wrong, so i listed those bands, nothing to do with ski movies.

And yes, I have taken too much time to do this thread(I havne't had another ridiculous thread), but you are taking just as much time to read through this as me, and you are looking way too far into it. The whole thing about replacing boyd easleys song is a joke. The whole thing about replacing boyd easleys son in happy dayz is a joke. I wans't serious. This thread helped keep me occupied during one of my boring lectures and now i have to go study for calc 2.

Fuck KISS! Those dickheads are in it for the money. If I was a band and I was put on some product, I would be stoked. The skis were advertising for KISS. Skiers would appreciate KISS more if KISS let LINE do their thing, rather then destroying LINES Anthem. They might have even made more money by letting the skis sell rather then in the law suite, but I doubt it because KISS sucks ass.

For all of you saying "Fuck KISS"....Do any of you know who the members of KISS are, or for that matter, what they looked like in make-up in concert? From every single one of the "Fuck KISS" responses, it's obvious you are under the impression that the band members are just some schmucks that randomly painted their faces and went out and played shitty music.

The image on that ski looks EXACTLY like Paul Stanley when in KISS make-up. EXACTLY. They made money based on not only their music, but their image as well, and for someone to steal that image and use it without their authorization does not fly.

I understand that most of you think it is "harmless" for them to use this image because it's not degrading them or making them look bad, or whatever....but if someone were to take a picture of you, slap it together with a collage of other photos, and put it on, say, some snowblades, wouldn't you be pissed off too?

first of all, weither or not it looks enough like paul stanley to legitimise a court case will be up to the judge. No offence, but when it comes to multimillion dollar band sitting on their asses making money, not playing a concert in a few years. Or an incedible ski, that could have singlehandedly saved a down company from destruction......well i take the ski.

I ask you, why the fuck aren't you guys pissed. Honestly, this is a ski website, not a rock and roll website. I support skiing, and its companies first. Fuck kiss, they need more money like gene simmions needs his cock cut off. Line is having such a hard time everything this season, so i think they deserve our support. And if it was possible, i would be in court when they go to support them.

This isn't about money. KISS is not going to make any money off of this, at all. Matter of fact, I can just about assure you that this is costing them money to fight this.

We live in a litigous, sue-happy society. How was this unexpected? You can't just go out and poach images of someone and throw it on your product without their permission. In any industry these days, music, skiing or otherwise, you have to protect your neck from other people trying to make a buck off of YOU when they don't have a right to do so.

When you guys are out of school, no longer sucking off your parent's teat, making a buck for yourself you might actually understand this. And for what it's worth, I don't like KISS, nor will I ever....it's not about whether you like the band or not, it's a matter of principle.

yeah....im in college living on my own. This isn't about image....fuck that. Do you think kids were going to buy the skis because it has a dude that MAYBE looks like paul stanley. No kids were going to buy this ski because it was going to be the ultimate park tool. Soo what if the face is white, who cares...let us be. We don't give a flying fuck. Who knows, maybe it was just a printing error, and the face is not suppost to be white. Seriously. I do say fuck kiss, they don't need to sue for nothing, not money, not image. When they go to court i think the judge is going to side with line and we will be vindicated. When that happens i will be happy to have the skis, and we schould drop a pair off at the each of there houses.

yea, it sucks that you cant get your line skis, but the fact of the matter is, line brought this upon themselves. in todays world, people need to realize that if u do anything close to resemblance, you will risk a lawsuit. so my question is, what did line gain with that image? i know its shitty, but its the way life is. hate on kiss all you want, but i bet at least 70 percent of this site would be doing the same thing kiss is doing; when u get that famous, why would u care what a skiing community thinks of you for running a tiny company into the ground. you wouldnt.

There have been 3 skis now that have fallen under this scrutiny.

the K2 Seth Pistols, the K2 AK Maidens, and now the Line Anthems.

The Seth Pistols and the AK Maidens (especially the maidens) are obvious and blatent in that they copied bands and such, Union Jack base on the pistols? The Sex Pistols didnt even really do anything about this.. because they dont care... hence why even when they changed the name to Seth Vicious (kinda like Sid Vicious) they also didnt care.

the AK Maidens had Iron Maiden font and graphics, so they sued and stuff because they didnt want their graphics on skis. Its lame, but understandable.

Now, the Anthems situation is retarded... a guy, with a guitar and 80's hair with a white face = kiss...

Sorry, but there were lots of glitter rock bands in the 80's that did the facepaint shit, not just kiss.. besides.. kiss is more of a show than a band anyway.. they just have lots of fire and long tounges and facepaint and shit.. they have one song that everyone knows about, and frankly I know a handful or or more people that dislike it just like me because its overplayed and redundant.

If Kiss is a real band, a real lover of music and cool stuff like that, they wouldnt trip over a guy that kindasortanotreally looks like a guy from Kiss... and let the anthems be released.

Line is a quality company that is always striving to put the best ski on the hill, and this ski is no different. I see no harm in what they did and they are being punished in the gayest way ever.

I say that Line releases the skis with a new graphic.. a white topsheet with black letters accross them saying 'FUCK KISS. THEY MAKE SHITTY MUSIC.

ITS SUPER SIMPLE KIDS (and please tell me to get fucked if i'm wrong) but Easleys section (and i've had this as a forum) Has gotta be the most stylin section in ANY ski movie. it won't work to any other song... in fact he is wearing some sort of detroit T-shirt at some point in his section... If KISS can't cop it then they can take the dick... as if any band wouldn't want Boyd riding to there tunes...

but Kiss apparently thought they were cool enough to claim that a part of the graphic on Line's skis is a depiction of them...

exuuuuuuuuuuuuse me, i know it's zoso and i'm not 12. i had a brain fart. but seriosly, do you really think Van Halen, KISS, Nirvana, and GNR belong on a top ten list of Rock? Hell no.    They are awesome (except for KISS, never liked them anyways) but deffninitely not top ten quality.   Now that I look at it, three quarters of that list shouldn't even be on there.
