haha, I know this is a controversial conversation, but it's true. Their so much better at presses, it just looks so steezy. I'm not saying snowboarding is better then skiing, I just appreciate both aspect of snowsports. I don't hate snowboarding, I love it, I hate all the retards who snowboard. Lets be fair, and stop saying that snowboarding sucks. Because there are lots of skiers who act stupid, and I don't like it, but it doesn't make me say that skiers suck.

true, skier presses look really dumb imo but butters look way better skiing then snowboarding, it seems like skiers have more of an individual style whereas snowboaders always have spread feet doing the same grabs with the same body position,

Are u kidding me, read the post you wrote, thats not what you said. This is a skiing site lets keep it at that, ya sure some skiers ride too, and yes i ski with a group of semi pro riders. But lets keep it real, this is a skiing site hands down, and if you would think a little bit a skiing site is not the place to make claims like snowboarding has more style. Think next time

i definatly agree. It's something about having your two feet locked in palce as opposed to being able to move them independently (skiing). I think it gives snowboarders a much more controlled look and makes things alot smother. I ski and snowboard so i really dislike people that hate on one sport or the other because they're both equaly sick.

Do you not understand anything? I have the title to bring people in to my thread, and then make some small legit claim that snowboarders presses are btter (which is true). My main point/thesis was that we should stop hating snowboarding.

I know that this sight was originally a ski site, but it has changed. When you make an account, you have the option of clicking on the picture of a skiier or a boarder. So obviously, this site is also intended for boarders also, not just skiiers.

Easier to look steezy on a board. You're locked into position.
Harder to look as steezy as boarders on skis. But can be done, and is.
That's one of the many reasons I like skiing so much more. Takes that much more effort and individuality to make stuff look good.
The two extra limbs does wonders in skiing in the terms of creativity.

I think with spins as long it isnt pencil, it looks better than snowboard spins. It seems that a lot of snowboarders at my school do it because its the "cool thing to do". But I have a bunch of friends who snowboard because they love it.

I like skiing and snowboarding and I think they both have there better parts. I would agree you can put more of your own style into skiing but I like slow spins on a snowboard more than skis. Although having 2 feet mobile enables you to look better with grabs and stuff like that

i agree...but only for like urban. anything else...(some park looks dope) but like bigmountain and pow with snowboarding looks gay as shit to me. they are always flailing their arms and junk and it just looks nasty. look great on urban and jazz though.

i completely agree i have never met a freeskier that was a douche but i have met boarders that are d-bags (not all tho by any means).
all skier seem to have thier own personality infused into the way they ride and the way they carry themselves and the style they have. i think skiing is a much more diverse sport that snowboarding, where u have like 2 sections ballers, and the hardcore rock boarders...well and then there are the snowbaorders that wear the girls jeans but im from east coast we might be the only coast that has them.

Skiing is gay
everything about skiing is gay except freeskiing, jibbing hitting jumps and doing rails buttering down the mountain and riding switch are the only things that make skiing un gay, and baggy clothes. Everything else, non twin tips = gay gay gay. But snowboarding is pretty good all around, because they arent gay unless they are racing, In the olympics.

like seriously im not joking. for instience when your watching some big mountain than they flip to the snowboarder what does the boarder do? pussy outs and slides down the whole thing, probably makes an avalance. and some half ass turns. it looks soo bad. ruins the whole segment. the tricks don't look as steezy, seriously they don't theres nothing to them, you can't lay them out. im sorry but it's not true dude, you got a serious problemo!

Let's see here... Jeremy Jones, Jonoven Moore, etc, boarders that have total respect from all the big mountain skiers.
Or how about Johann Olafssen's lines way back in TB5, YEARS before any skier had even thought of attacking big mountain faces with that kind of speed.
Good skiers respect good boarders, and good boarders respect good skiers.
Your comment makes it pretty obvious that if you ever got into terrain like that, you would probably be the one who ended looking like the ass.

i dont think so. i mean with a snowboard you feet are always at a certain stance, i mean with skiing you actually need to practice your shit so you dont have pencil steeze. not to say snowboarding has forced steeze already but it helps.

there are just different aspects of each sport and we need to recignize each sport for what it is and its differences and how ill they are.
i ski but i own like 3 times as many snowboard movies as i do ski movies its just ill to see something different...and i think everyone shoiuld try it to see what its like cause its defenitly an ill sport

i completely agree. they have a much more controlled look when doing some insane nose/tail presses and switch-ups etc. i just think its easier to have your feet locked in those 2 places so its just on a easier scale for them. like to do those same presses on skis you have to be amazing as in snowboarding its not that great. i'm going to try snowboarding this year just so i can become more knowledgeable in both areas. then we'll see.

think about tweaks, like a skiier can tweak the shit out of a trick and it looks so insane, a boarder can tweak something but its not gona look half as steezy. take a tj schiller tweaked blunt 7 and match it up with a boarder throwing a 7, see which one is steezier?
