I could sit here all day and feed you bull shit statistics but I am going to take a rational approach to counter act the constant flow of BS that escapes from your website.

The state has no right to dictate the safety of an individual if his or her actions have no ill effects on another human directly. If your logic on marijuana is correct than anything a person can do to them selves should be illegal. Piercing your body can cause infection and kill you but it is still legal. Taking enough Prozac to make you feel like Martha Stewart all day is legal. It’s this arrogant picking and choosing of laws that makes me hate people like you. What if I were to say you couldn’t use Tylenol because studies have shown that it can be harmful to your liver? I am not saying that people should ever use marijuana in fact I urge them not to. There are countless studies and dangerous effects with using a powerful drug like THC. That means that the government should teach not restrict. However I also know of many professional engineers and students who use marijuana on a regular basis and are very successful, high paid, meaningful relationship having people. Your first problem is you paint people who smoke weed out to be some low life trying to corrupt society. Your little sob story about some kid that used weed as a gateway drug makes no sense. WEED WAS ILLIGIAL WHEN THAT ARTICLE WAS WRITTEN. So making something illegal doesn’t mean that it is unobtainable. How can outlawing a harmless substance make Colorado any safer? It creates an underground sales market and breads criminals. A lot more kids die in the world because of turf battles than have ever died smoking weed. Sure government has an obligation to protect its people so how about spending the countless billions of dollars that has been spent on “The war on drugs” and investing it in America?



Also, I am from Colorado and currently attend the Colorado School of Mines and am working on my bachelors in Petroleum Engineering not that this has anything to do with the previous argument. I would ask about your life but I don’t need to because I know that you are a tool.
