Opening Day for Boreal Mountain Resort
Set for Tuesday, November 14
Donner Summit, CA… Boreal Mountain Resort will open for the winter 2006-2007 ski and snowboard season Tuesday, November 14, the first Tahoe-area winter resort to open. Because of cool temperatures, recent snowfall, and Boreal’s extensive snowmaking efforts, the resort will offer trails via Gunnar’s chair lift, from 9am to 4pm daily (conditions permitting).
Boreal will offer terrain park features including 2 c-boxes, a down rail, a 32’ flat down box, a 20’ flat box and a beginner jib area with 2 ride on flat boxes and 1 ride on rail.
“The weekend storm was a welcomed start to winter. Cold snowmaking temperatures ahead of the storm helped Boreal push for opening the doors for the ski and snowboard season,” said Jody Churich, Boreal Mountain Resort’s Director of Marketing.
Opening day’s lift ticket rates will be reduced: $22 for adults and teens, and $10 for kids. Boreal will open additional lifts as snow conditions permit. Resort services will include all base facilities including food and beverage, ski rentals and retail. Ski school lessons will be offered based on availability (please call ahead).
That's it - see you tomorrow
