i actually did a essay on this. i interviewed a PR person from deer valley and they said that its a personally business decision, because their still is a market for ski only resorts, and its the image and environment that they want at there resort.
personally i think it would be nice to ski at a resort that isn't halfway scraped off because of them. but it sucks for the families that have one or two snowboarders.
^Yeah its kinda liek who they are and what they are known for. Mad River and I think Toas are the same way. People go there because of it. Its the same reason Mad River leaves their single chair.
Those places are known for Snow and naturtal conditions. last time I was at Alta they had a small park but I think they got rid of it. Mad River used to have a couple of shitty rails but im not sure if they still do.
yeah if u wanted to hit a park you can just go right over to snowbird there is no point in Alta making one when snowbirds is always gonna be so much better
