AUDIO FOR CAMERAS

I have the sony HDR-HC3 camera and i make ski movies, and this year i really want to capture superb sound and I am wondering if anyone knows of a good microphone or audio boom, or any other ideas?

thats just the thing, i do not want to overlay all the video clips with audio, i want to leave the audio in, and i want to capture better audio then what the stock mic can capture.
