i think its natural that way.. for example i spin to the right going forward, then switch i spin over my left. a lot of people do it that way. as for the person who stared this thread, practice, practice, practice switch before trying to hit a jump switch, or you will look like a gaper.
practice switch ones off of rollers first, that helped me a lot, after that progress to small jumps. as long as you dont start on a steep, lippy jump, you should pick it up relatively quick.
had the same problem. when just skiing swith i looked back over my right shoulder, but since my natural spin direction is leftside it didnĀ“t work for me to look over my right shoulder hitting the jump. Took me a while to figure out what i was doing wrong, but since I just look back over my left shoulder hitting a jump I have less problems...
its just because you look over your unatty shoulder. i used to do that until, one time on my way home from school i looked over my natural shoulder the whole way home and now thats the shoulder i look over going switch. true story
I used to think it was impossable. Then I hurt my heal and couldent hit anything big. so i just spent a couple days cruising through the mini park hiting everything switch. Im still kinda nervous on realy big jumps but i can spin almost better swtich on small or medium ones.
there were times last year that i felt more comfortable going off switch then i was going off normal... it actually got to the point that i started testing jumps switch
hmm when i started going switch some times id lose control and my feet would get kicked out from under me and id be sideways in the air....but eventually u get the hang of things..
that happened to me also because i looked over my unnaty shoulder because i was more comfortable with that, but i forced myself to look over my left shoulder to spin easier and after a while i got used to it.
