Karma sizing

i was wondering what ski size i should get for the volkl karmas. im 6' 155lbs and i ski park about 40% and everywhere else 60%. i ski hard and last year i had the 177 but i have grown a little. either 183 or the 177.

Definitely the 185.  They're way more stable than the 177's and there is no reason you should ride something that short at your size.

Dont go any smaller than 179-80 at 6', get the 185s or whatever they are

so if i get the 185s should i mount them at core center or what? and can someone tell me what the + and - numbers mean?

if u have some pow skis, go with the 177s, im 6'1 165 lbs and i have the 177s and they r perfect, dont listen to people that say get the 185s cuz ur 6', ur weight matters not ur height...they r stiff fuckin skis too...if u ski out west near somewhere that gets a lot of snow then get some 185s, but other than that rock the 177s

thanks alot but i do plan on having these skis for awhile and i will gain weight. also these will probablly be my only ski for a couple of years unless i get cheap rail skis

I weigh 5 lbs less than you and found the 177's to be super squirrely and not any fun to ride.  Also, they floated like a lead pipe.   As for them being "stiff fuckin skis," what else have you ridden?  Karmas are not a stiff ski unless you compare them to a dedicated park ski.

They're stiffer than Scratch's, MSP's, Chronics, new Mojo 90's, in fact about the only mid-fat twin tip that's stiffer is the Mojo 80, older Mojo 90, and pre-WRS Scratch BC's.

My skis before the Karmas were Atomic GS:11 race stock. Yes ghey racing skis.

I've never found the Karmas to be squirrelly, at least no more so that any other modern ski with a sidecut. Ever since the transition away from straight skis everything I've ever ridden is squirrelly at times because just like snowboards they don't like to ride flat.

I'd say at 6' you could go all the way up to 175 lbs. and be solid on the 177's. You wouldn't need to go to the next size up unless you were taller or approaching 200 lbs.

im 5'11" 160 and had the 185's last year, they were a little much to muscle around in the park. i bought the 177's this year and id go with the 177's if i were you

ya i think ill just get 177s as they were good to me last year and i have only grown like an inch maybe and maybe 10 pounds
