I feel very comfortable hitting and landing jumps forward, I can ski switch ok, but whenever I land I tend to lose balance for some reason, should I be looking at the landing all the time if I were say...doing a 180, orshould I look uphill towards the take off right before I land and then concentrate on riding switch
you can ski switch only "ok"...practice it till you can ski it well (and don't freak out when you can;t see where you;re going after you land fro a second or two)
this problem is usually symptomatic of being overconfident in your sw abiltiy....what you don't realize when you're hitting a jump is...
1-how fast you're really going
2-how steep the landing is
because of which you usually end up skiing out of a 180 faster than you think. ski switch until you're confident maching and linking fast runs and youll be fine
when landing switch don't get freaked out, spot the landing so you knpow when it is coming. AND LEAN FORWARD. TO get used to it even put your hands down in front of you or like reach out for your tips. You HAVE to lean forward
