DVD burning help?

I'm trying to hook up my man ebonics with a copy, and my friend has a computer wiht a dvd slot, and a burner slot

does this automatically mean that it can burn dvd's, because I've tried and it just keeps saying that no recordable device is found when I've CLEARLY got a fucking blank dvd in the burner spot.

help?

a dvd slot is diff than a dvd burner, you should know if its a dvd burner. It will say when you right click 'my computer' go to like, manage hardware, or properities or some shit (sorry i'm fucking drunk) and og to device manager and find the disk drive, you will know there.

yeah dude, a dvd slot means it can read and play dvds, not necessarily write them. If you're running a mac,( like you're truly) and you have a "super-drive",  you simply stick it into the one hole and it does everything.

but seeing as you're probably running windowz, find out if it has a burner, if it does, go  to demonoid.com or use limewire and download all the encessary equipments. if not, you're fucked. peace. later.
