Car Speakers Question

I got a used car which is alright except for one of the speakers. I noticed that the covers were off, but didnt take too much notice to it. My back left speaker doesnt produce any sound unless I hit a bump. How can I check if the wires are connected or should I leave it to a professional?

if you hace common sense and basic car/electrical skills you can figure it out yourself otherwise just buy some decent speakers and usually you will get them installed for free.
