Has anyone tried towing into a summer rail with a winch? My friend built one we use for wakeskating, and I'm too lazy to make a ramp so we're thinking of giving it a shot. I know, I know... it's already winter again, but shit, why not?
You know the cable spool that's on the front of a jeep? You hook it around trees to pull you out of the mud... Well this one pulls you 20 mph with 1000' of wakeboard line attached to a handle.
hell yea im sure it work with that much force. o how the fuck do u build one of those winches ive been wanting to make one for wakeskating too pm with some advicwe
heck yea that'll work that sounds awesome!!! try settin up multiple jibs and hold on to the rope like you were wake skatin or somethin and keep hittin 'em with the rope in your hand, that'd be sweet.
Last year we rigged a pulley to a rail that had no hill or in run, we held on too one end of the rope and the other end was attached to a truck. When the truck drove away from the rail it pulled us in, it worked really good
still haven't gotten around to trying this on dry land yet, but here's a link for anyone who wants more info. I'll post the plans for what we've got soon.
