Splinters

Today I got like 5 splinters in my hand and was to lazy to take any of them out. Getting them reminded me of that myth that they go through your blood into your heart. Also someone told me today that it will warp your bones if you leave them in your hand. I think both are complete bullshit. What do you guys think? :)

i don't think either are true. i've never heard of the one about the bones, but why would a small piece of weed wedged in your skin cause your bones to warp? so that can't be true. and i've always heard about the one with your heart. and like i said before, it's just a piece of wood lodged in your skin, i don't think it's going to absorb into your blood stream and enter your heart. if anything it'll break down over time, and once it's in small enough particles then it can absorb into the blood stream. but i think the particles will be too small to cause any damage to the heart.
