i personally believe it's real good, a bigger surface area to land on. But as i have heard, harder to spin fast, bit unbalanced, ect. Not sure about that. i figure if your skis are light then your fine. What's everyone's point of view on this topic?
sounds like it would make sense on the landing part. buty as for spins id assume they need to be light.. and if they were light rails would be hella easyer
i ski park on jp vs juliens and ninthward 187's cause that all i have. The only time i notice is when trying to do jibby technical stuff on rails. Big ass skis make that stuff harder but everything else is cool.
This guys got it right. I skied Mad'en AK's in the park for half the season last year. It was sweet, but the swing weight is a bitch. All of a sudden it was really hard to spin on and off rails... I had to wait until the gap/drop was big enough. Switching to park skis made it a lot easier to get all my tricks back.
But yeah, too fat and the swing weight is a sonofabitch.
I dunno, I have ARV's as well and I dont like them for park. The extra weight is just something that is easily avoidable and unecessary, unless you only have one pair of skis that is.
I plan on riding my THA 187s in the park for jumps only, not for rails really. In messing around with them in my living room, the swing weigh is negligible.... unless you have pewny legs with no muscle.
really i like skinny park skis a lot better when i'm riding park. they're lighter, and have no swing weight when i'm getting tech on rail, and also they're skinny so you can land off jumps while still carving on your edges, which i think is a lot cooler feeling than landing on a big plank.
I rodde my bc last year they are from 2 season ago so they are the heavier ones. They did alright 3s were easy and do rails with them was ok. But yeah park skis are def better
My pistols are my parks skis and I like it that way cause they are so soft. I would prefer something with a little less swing weight, but overall I like fatter skis in park.
you just stated two personal preferences as fact. Shorter isn't always better for park... I ride 180 firstbloods in the park. I will never ski a ski under 90 undefoot again. but it's all personal preference.
below your chin?!? why dont you grow a vagina while your at it
ski on skis that are above your eyes. thats skiing below your chin is just a long snowblade
what r u guys talking about? shorter is better because you can spin faster, and narrower is better because you can turn easier on jumps, like to cork, and theyre lighter.
he is the man, we'll all admit, but that doesnt mean everyone should like rediculasly fat skis in the park. that how he like sit, and that perfectly fine. But the majority of people wont like it.
