I got some free Tyrolia LD10's when I purchased my skis, would those even work on jumps if I'm just a beginner? or should I check out look, rossi, bindings? Weigh around 130 pounds, and 5"11

thnx for the suggestions pretty much gonna keep the LD 10's after reading it.
I've been reading around the forum and some ppl say that you have to set something called the "forward pressure" to prevent tyrolia bindings from popping off too easily, I'm totally confused. what's the difference between that and DIN? and in what scenarios would the setings affect releases?

i had LD 12 on my last pair of skis, i weigh about 148, and im 5'10 they popped off on me as i would land switch, so i set my din to 8 and they worked fine, they used to be at 6, they have the pivot heel piece

So basically if they pop after you land you adjust the DIN settings? in what situation would you have to adjust the forward pressure though?

Dude, Why was your din 6? I'm 130 pounds and my din is 6. No wonder they popped off.

Even if you crank your DIN way up, if your forward pressure isn't set properly, your bindings won't work the way they're supposed to. Forward pressure has to be set for a unique boot, usually when the binding is mounted to your ski.
Take it to a shop if you don't know how to set it up properly.
