Money Orders?

alrire, i am buying some equipment from a dude that wants to use money orders and not paypal. I dont really no much about them, can somebody help me out. i think i heard somewhere that there not to safe, cause lots of people have ben ripped off and tracing people could be hard.

i use alot of money orders but do not use wester union and you have to trust the guy its risky

money orders are pretty safe.  you can usually get your cash back if you get screwed. just keep the receipt.

You can get them at the post office, which is where I go when I need one.  A lot of people prefer money orders because you dont have to wait of for it to clear like a check and it doesn't take 3% of your cash like paypal.

And as was said above, never use western union.

Check it man. I used money orders ALL THE TIME. Its the bank that handles all my shit, and it has a tracking number and everything. Its the safest thing if your a buyer. For a seller....well not so much. I use it when i buy stuff. the way it works is that it has a tracking number to it, and when the bank teller cashes it in to an account, the number is punched into a computer. The computer then tells my bank that the seller is cashing in the money order. Now if he does not give you your shit, or fucks you over. You can cancel that money order within 60days.

The thing is you have to have a certain amount of trust with these things. I dealt with a few guys last season, and it worked out great. I don't trust pay pal, and i think it is poop. So i use the money orders.

everytime i have bought somthing from people on ns i have used a money order and it worked out fine. Maybe if u were buying skis or somthing exspensive it would be better to go with paypal tho. W.e its ur choice
