Finally, people are starting to understand that what we have right now is not working.
I just hope that everythi8ng comes through and the Dems have control.
i think having the dems control will be a bad thing... same way if it were all republicans, they need views from both sides and it usually works better when there is a little contraversy
Black president definitely. The women's right movement has been occurring over a much longer period than the civil right movement, but the civil right movement has been moving at a faster pace.
I'm not sure if he has been living in a cave or not...but in this current presidency jobless rates have seen all time lows, the dow current teeters in and out of all time record high, home prices have increased exponentially and homeowners have gained wealth, and wages have increased with taxes decreased...I dunno about you, but that all sounds like something is working right if you ask me.
yes...its about time we got back power of the house, it would be good if we could get the senate too but i doubt that is gonnna happen. but we can always hope. With this resurgency of democrats into power, i'm really interested to see what will happen with the next presidential election
Okay screw this I'm calling it: Democrats win the Senate. Tester has been declared the victor in montana by CNN and MSNBC, and Webb's 8000ish vote lead will hold up. And probably increase.
It'd be nice if they wouldn't worry about who fucked up in the past so much and focussed on how to make things better going forward. Don't get me wrong, there are probably many warrented investigations, but blaming people for fucking things up doesn't exactly fix the problem. For example, you could throw Rummy in jail along with probably a bunch of other people but that does little to help the situation facing tens of thousands of American troops on the ground, let alone the millions of Iraqis.
well said. Im tired of the democratic party bitching about how the republicans in the white house screwed up the war, but then they don't have a solution to fix the problem.
^ I dont know about ideological but something about her just rubs me the wrong way. She just comes off too much of a politician (which I know she is) but you also need to 'relate' to the citizens and not be some d-bag.
On a lighter note Senate Majority Leader Frist said this about the Dems taking over...“Washington must now work together in a bipartisan way — Republicans and Democrats — to outline the path to success in Iraq.”
I truly think thats the only way things will be resolved. Forget about what party you belong to and get the job done. The house and senate need to start working as a team to accomplish these goals. We'll see though, we'll see. It'll definitely take some time.
I'm also stoked that Spitzer is now Governor. Hopefully he speaks the truth and things will be fixed. NYS's prop. taxes are so ridiculous I cant even buy a house around here.
you are right, i hate all these people who say, now things will get done and everything is fine because the democrats have congress, well how do we know that the democrats are right?
