I need a topic for an english class debate. Basically I have to talk about my topic for 3 minutes, then we debate about it. A lot of good ones have been done, infact this is my second debate of the semester (everyone has/will do 2)
If it was more based on something i am familiar with (skateboarding, skiing etc) it will be easier. Drugs have been overdone.

Take an anti-gun control stance. Sure it will pisses off a lot people, but the only arguement others will have is it will kill inocent little children and put guns in the hand of criminals. I got an A on that topic last year and it was really easy to defend. Teachers like it, because you dont take the popular stance and you can support your arguement.

Nooo, don't do any of that junk! Do yours on whether or not there should be stricter international laws on shark fishing and finning, as well as more severe punishments if these laws are broken. Use population counts and other statistics. I have tons of information on it because I had to write a 36-page paper about it for my Advanced Composition class. I'm just kidding about this whole thing, but it really is a huge controversial issue that not too many know about.

I actually changed my name because my old one had 'Blondie' in it, and seeing as I don't have blonde hair at all anymore, it only made sense to get a new one. I don't mind that people made fun of me.
