ha ha lib tech makes narrow ass snowboards.... weren't they the ones that were always dissin skiing? that just shows you the popularity of skiing, if a snowboard company makes skis and sponsors mike nick,,, damn.
ive ridden them. They have that wavy edge deal on them, its sposed to make it so they never become dull. Its a really cool feature. I never got to shred any ice on them, but when i did ski them they were pretty sick. They have a pretty big sidecut though, to be able to use the wavy edge on them. overall I liked them, the wavy edge may make its way into mainstream skis within a few years if you ask me.
not supposed to keep it from getting dull, its to create a ski with 7 different sidecuts so taht it creates more pressure points on the ski as you carve, similar to a serated(sp?) knife.
If you mean Mike WILSON, then yes. And I don't think they planned on making skis. A few of their employees ski, so they make some for themselves, Then I thought Wilson sorta approached them with the idea of a ski team, etc.
I'll do you all a favor and just say wait on these until next years are tested in January/February. If Wilson has any input they made get good, but the ones out this year ARE NOT. I skied the 176 and the 188 and they are all wrong. The flex pattern is backward so they just skid around dangerously, Stiff tip soft tail. They ski better switch than regular as a result.
i was talking to the lib tech guy at sia and i was like yeah i really want to try out your skis, and he just glared at me and was like "we don't make skis. we make narrow ass snowboards."
