NS has a recently new feature that allows you to upload pictures your own private gallery instead of the public one. Please take advantage of this feature when your are uploading photos for sales or forums.

It keeps the public gallery cleaner and saves flooding the "Lastest Additions" category with 10 pictures of a coat, 8 pictures of a pant, 4 pictures of a rail etc.

When you upload them to your private galley, click on your name from the list on the left hand side, go to picture, then at the top you have a choice for Gallery Type, click on Private.

Volia! they are in there!

If you want to post a picture in a thread, you can load it to your private gallery and use the address from there. This way it keeps the regular picture gallery cleaner. For example, some people load their crocheted hats onto NS before posting them in the "post your creations" thread. If everybody loaded their hats onto the public gallery, it would become crowded with pictures of hats, and you wouldn't see as many skiing pictures at once. The hats would get in the way. If you load them into your private gallery, you can still use the address, but it keeps the public gallery cleaner.

I know that people haev gotton better at doing all this stuff...It would just be better if pictures are AUTOMATICALLY SET TO PRIVATE GALLERIES...that way people who post stuff "for thread" wont get bitched at!

Guys, its bad now, come on, use the private galleries. Not everyone wants to see the 12 pictures of the jacket you're selling, and if they do, they'll look at your thread. Keep this shit cleaner!

Also, can we maybe cut the picture section into two main subcatergories? Skiing and not? And then have the default settable to "skiing" or "other"? Theres a ton of pictures and it would clean it up nicely... pictures of car shows are cool and I'll look at them, but recent photo's maybe have a hour lifespan before being pushed into archives due to all the pics being posted. Just a thought.

Would it be possible to have an option that allows one member to see your private gallery? like, if i have a ton of hats in my private gallery and i want to show them to a possiblle customer, could i have him allowed to browse through my private gallery?

yeah but what if i killed 3 women and wanted to show my dearest friend how i did it, i'd upload the pics in my private gallery but i surely wouldn't want to post them in a thread...
Is there a possibility that I could make my private gallery public for one member?

Then you'd post your illegal activities in a PM instead of a thread.

As far as I know, img tags work in PM's as well.
