hm.. for some reason my thread got deleted... or something.. anyhow I checked out the SPKS.. pretty sick, but I'm still concerned w/ 180 being a bit long.. I'm 6'0" 155 and ski Central Cali + Tahoe... If I'm looking for a 80% park ski will 180 be too long or am I being stupid?
I have Salomon, Rossi, and Atomic proforms and am looking for the best ski within those brands, thanks.

your being way stupid. 180 is the shortest you should go. im 2 inches shorter, the same wieght, and wont step into anything shorter than 185.

crazy, I knew for a fatter pow-ski you wanted to go long, which is why I have the Foils in 182.. but thought shorter for spinning and such...
Then again that's why I'm asking you guys, the SPK looks like a tight choice, but you guys don't see anything you like in teh atomic line? The Atomic Pimps got pretty nice acalades this year... though 183 seems a bit long... Keep the knowledge coming guys thanks..

Get 180's, you could spin really well on snowblades, but you'd look like a retard.

no less than 185? that's not very smart unless you are mad good, having that much tail when you're that small just increases your risk of knee injury. It sounds a lot like you're just following the trend of long skis to be cool, you're better off on a ski thats actually appropriate for your size, I'm 6 feet tall 175 lbs and a ski between 175 and low 180s is about right for park depending on the stiffness.

He's probably better then you, so it's alot different. I'm not very good, and I'm 6 1, but I still use 180cm skis. I could use 185 skis, and i'm not even that good.

so do you think for somebody who is good at skiing but not necessarily good at jibbing, a 180 would be a good ski to bring into the park, and use mainly for park?
BTW, I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to keep or sell my Salomon 1080 Foils 182cm w/ S912Ti bindings. So if that sounds like something you'd be interested in let me know for more details and condition and such, btw they're in great condition w/ just 1 minor and repaired base shot on the riht ski, I got them on proform so we can def negotiate.

I work for The Sports Authority in Fresno CA as Tech/Sales. So I get hooked up w/ proforms from any company we sell + season pass at the local resort... pretty sweet deal, especially since we don't need to sell teh exact ski in order to proform it... just the brand.. ;)

alright dudes, I'll take your advice and let this thread fall, but just wanna make sure of the following 3 brands, the ski you guys would pick that would be mainly a park ski would be the Salomon SPK 180, (I'm 6'0" 155)
Salomon
Rossignol
Atomic
The only thing is that I'm not extremely in love w/ the top sheets on salomons.. have you guys heard anything concerning the sheets on the 07 salomons? same stuff as the 06s? thanks.

1) You have broken the first three rules of pro-forms (Fight Club reference for the slow of mind).
B) Use the Foils in the park. That's what I have as my park ski (in 182) and they rock. If you want a powder ski, get the Gun or Scratch BC or some other real powder ski. The Foil is a great all mountain/park ski, if you can only have one ski. Obviously you can have more, so specialize.
...And don't sell the brand new skis you just got on pro-form. If you are caught (good chance bragging here) you're screwed and you help to ruin forms for those people in the industry that are following the rules.

180, once you've centre mounted and such its really not that long. Urban triplets would be my pick, but SPK would also be alright.
