I am looking to get some skis for the winter, but have too many decisions to make, and too many options. ive looked at a lot of reviews etc on here, but im still puzzled.
im 6' (still maybe a little more to grow) 165lb, and im quite an agressive skier.
i spend about 70% of time in the park at the moment, but want to explore the back country and powder a little more. i currently have no skiis at the moment, so my options i think are:
1.buy some skis that are all round pretty good at the lot- was thinking rossi scratch sprayer bc's, or line chronic wide- although i wouldnt really want to do rails with them, as they would be too new and shiny for any of that.
2. buy a pair for the pow, and a pair for the park- maybe rossi scratch bc, and line invaders, chronics, or t-halls (all older models) which i could thrash around and do rails on etc. this would be the more expensive way of doing it, and if i wanted to do a bit of park, then a bit of pow id have to take both pairs and leave them on the mtn somewhere- bit dodgy.
i dont really want to spend that much money, so the second pair in no. 2 would have to be pretty damn cheap- all from ebay. id also want to keep the skis for a while, so they'd have to be strong.
i was thinking 185's for pow, around 170 for park.
id like to hear any opinions/advice please!

for just one ski chronic blend or even anthem if you dont really wanna charge out of the park but just mess around, for a combo silencers and scratch BCs would be sweet, although definately pricey especially once you add bindings. Maybe if you got both skis used, seths would also be sweet for pow, and chronics would be another good option for a solid used ski since they are mad durable.

i would go a bit longer for park, and 185 sounds about right for pow. idk how much youre going to pay for the bc, but i can point you in the direction of arv's for 350 brand new. not to plug myself, but im trying to sell some 176 t-halls as well, with bindings, ill get em to you cheep, they only have abotu 10 days on em and ill get em looking sharp for you. as far as another set of bindings, i have 912's cheep.
if you do go the route of the all mountian ski, the sprayer is def. a solid chice, my friend swears by them. be careful picking up the px binding though, rumor has it look is getting rid of it next year. if you want more info on anything, feel free to ask!

ok so im thinking maybe the t-halls as above, but these with arv's wouldnt be the best idea im guessing- 1 park specific ski, 1 all round inc park ski???
the scratch bc's are more out of the park, so what else would be a good accompnyment to the t-halls?
although the bc's are expensive at the mo (as theyre new), id rather spend less (obviously) and get a previous years ski that can do a very similar job.
good plan??

ok so now i think ive narrowed down the options:
park ski-
armada t-halls (maybe from freeskier)
line invaders (not really a good idea to get 05/06's though)
all mountain/backcountry ski-
armada arv
scratch bc
big troubles
ive chosen complete park skis as they should be best at the job i want them to do, also aids the decision of 'which ski do i want today' as ill either use the park skis for the park, or the all mountain skis for everything else...
any ideas on good/bad combos?

arvs, bcs, pisotls/vicious or last yrs moships are what you want. they are all fat light flexy skis that kill it everywhere.

I'd add the seth to your list for big mountain/pow. And those didn't change so you could get last years used and they'd be just as good as the 07s
