Hey I got a pass to Stowe this year and I've heard all about the great back country opportunities they have. Could anyone point me in the direction of the chin? Or other "well known" spots, Im not tryin to steel anyones secrets Id like to know where everyone hikes, thanks a lot. If anyone has any decent spots id really appreciate it

get off the gondola, walk behind the leftside of the building (looking uphill)where the deck is, find one of the trails and follow the bootpack up, if your first person, your either lucky or there is a reason no one is hiking that day.

you can also get off the quad and right in front of you there will be a steep trail, follow that up the hill to the top once there you can either go left or right or when you get off the gondola go right and take that trail all the way to the top of mansfield and pick your line back down to the bottom
