I figured out what may make these cartoons so popular. From the SImpsons, Family Guy, Clone High, KotH and more.
For one, they have hilarious writers for there scripts. But more importanlty, they have the choice of whatever voice they want, no matter which voice they chose, the character will always be the same.
Also, if everyone is a cartoon, the jealous human brain doesn't have to compare ourselves with that actor. A cartoon gives you a basic look of a person, and if there are any strengths and weaknesses, it brings them out in hilarious, or simplistic ways.
hmmm i like to ramble, so i wanna know, is this why you think they are so popular, apart form the hilarious lines

family guy is the funniest show and definatly aimed for teen/adult. they always talk about vagina and penis in humorous ways, it's sweet. the toon porn is sick, who would get off on cartoons having sex? if i found someone who did i would laugh at them for an hour and then kick there ass
