Who here likes racers? I hate it when the freeskiiers yell at me and my friends for snow plowing over the jumpps. I mean, we don't yell at them for skiing at the place where we race!!! What do you have to say about that?

I have nothing against racers.  I'm sure that has nothing to do with the big women's race every year at the mountain where there's hundreds of girls in spandex, either.

the reason people yell at you for snow plowing over jumps is that it ruins the jump.how would you like it if people destroyed your race course

i race and dont see wat the problem or even if there is one. i have another pair of skis i use to go off with for jump and woods so i dont really do a whole lot besides carve with my racing skis - sporting the race tigers

i hate all people that snow plow over jumps, you dont do that, you jump off them... the thing is is that only old people, racers and beaters do that so uh yea..

depends, some racers i will talk to on the lfit, and theyll be ok. then some are major tools in their spandex..

well if you any good of a racer you would know better then to respect the park and the rest of the hill. People who rag on racers a idiots, when I use to race we would train in the morning and then grab some twins and hit the park in the afternoon. Alltho that had to stop once I reached the higher levels of it tho, but still any racer or ski for that matter thats any good knows better then to reck any part of the mountian

its aight, i used to race and i learnt TON"S
the whole reason i can ski so good is from learning everything from racing,
but it does become redic with the technical shit and like not being allowed to have fun
prety much anytime i got a free run, i would wanna hit a jump and my coach would freak, and say "u should be practicing turn shape" or something stupid
it got so annoying i stopped racing
not only that but to step up ur career u move to the provincial team.. and SOOORRRY i dont have money to spend on that,
not old do the ski;'s cost a shitload, but then so does the coaching fee's and the passes, and then to add provincial team fees into it

so i started rippin off some tables more and rails and all thaat crapppolla and now BLAMO
im dope as soap on a rope :)
but yea
please dont snowplow over jumps,..
some jumps r fine,.. but snowplowing over the lip of a table ruins it completely, like rounding it off and shallowing it out etc...
and to add to that,.. when i raced,.. if ppl wen through the course and they wernt suppoed to i would give them hell

racers can ski, thats for sure.. but like, whats wrong with racing in normal clothes? If everyone decided to ditch the spandex together no one would be at a disadvantage.

i raced for four years in high school and mostly everyone i raced with was cool, but there are some definite tools out there...and just compare snowplowing over jumps to random people jumping in your course while you're training...both are terribly annoying and can ruin the course/jumps...and racing makes you a way better skier, i guarantee you i wouldn't be as good in the park and around the mountain if i hadn't raced
